Barrons is a licensed practice able to carry out ATOL reporting work and certification.

The ATOL Reporting Accountants’ scheme has been developed by the CAA in order to help improve the standard of ATOL reporting and to provide assurance that financial information which is submitted on behalf of ATOL holders is accurate. The scheme is designed to ensure that designated accountants of participating bodies are sufficiently knowledgeable about both the industry and specific requirements of ATOL to provide the required assurance needed by the CAA.

Having started his professional training with Barrons in 2006, George is an experienced accountant and qualified with the ACCA. He is passionate about working with new start-up businesses, supporting them from the start of their journey to give them the best possible chance of achieving their goals. In his spare time, George enjoys spending his free time with his wife and their young son and daughter. He keeps active by running, riding his mountain bike, exploring the great outdoors, and playing the occasional round of golf.

Email: garethl@barrons-bds.com Gareth Lanaway - Gareth joined Barrons in 2016 and works in the Statutory Accounts Team as an Accounts Senior. He also leads the Bus Service Operators Grant department and has built some fantastic working relationships with clients within the Bus and Coach sectors by assisting them to compile and review their annual claim submissions. Gareth is AAT level 3 qualified and is currently working towards finalising level 4 with ambitions of moving on to ACCA following this. In his spare time he enjoys maximising family time and is inspired daily by his wife and two children. Gareth is also a keen darts player and plays for a local team. Other hobbies include playing a range of sports including football, squash, badminton and pool.
